You now have the option of using a 4-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) instead of signing for your purchases when using your Credit Card or Visa Debit Card at participating shops in Australia. Simply press the “CR” credit button and enter your PIN for a quicker and more convenient transaction.
The PIN option brings Australia into line with markets in Europe and the United Kingdom. In fact, some overseas retailers accept only PIN authorizations for credit and debit card transactions.
When you’re ready to pay for your goods using your Credit Card or Visa Debit Card, checkout staff may ask if you would like to enter a PIN or sign for your purchase.
