Bank of Melbourne speeds up conversations with Melbemoji Stickers

13 December 2017

Bank of Melbourne today released the Melbemoji sticker pack– a fun iMessenger sticker pack, designed to appeal to proud Victorians who want to quickly get their point across when communicating on their Apple mobile devices.

The 16 stickers illustrate aspects of living in Melbourne and Victoria: from Melbourne’s iconic MCG, café lifestyle and trams through to our love of wine and the AFL. The Melbemojij Sticker Pack takes a playful approach to expressing Victorian locations, food and vernacular, with pictures of a ‘hipster’ and references to smashed avocado and Melbourne’s fickle weather.

Bank of Melbourne Head of Brand & Marketing, Ashley Gray, said The Melbemoji Sticker Pack aims to help Victorians communicate in a fast and engaging way.

“Research shows that 92%¹ of the online population used emojis, led by millennials,” Mr Gray said. "Stickers are very popular with some 6 billion² stickers sent around the world every day - it can be quicker to get your point across in emoji than it is in words and why not have some fun at the same time?”

The free iOS stickers will live within the Bank of Melbourne iOS app, becoming available for use in iMessenger once the latest version of the app is installed. The latest version can be downloaded on iOS from the App Store from noon today.
